(DEMO) Ward: The Bird Knew Everything
Uncover the mystery of an eerie house and solve riddles using your little grey cells! The demo contains just a couple of rooms.
The game is inspired by point’n’click games like "The Nancy Drew", sadly overlooked "The Black Mirror" and our beloved "The Sherlock Holmes" by Frogwares, which our love for the Victorian era was started with. We tried to convey the atmosphere of that time as much as possible.
FULL GAME
✑ It will be a complete Georgian-style house full of challenging puzzles (if puzzles in the demo version seemed easy to you, don't worry — it's just the beginning!)
✑ More mini-games
✑ More interactive elements
✑ It has a story but that’s all we can say for now
✑ VoiceOver and a proper translation
✑ It would be a prequel to a series of games
CURRENT FEATURES
✑ Spirit of an old-school point-n-click game
✑ Spooky elements
✑ Escape the room with the first crumbs of a plot
✑ We’ve created ALL assets for our game based on references from real 19th century catalogues
✑ Authentic Victorian atmosphere
✑ Coffee or tea?
BIG THANKS TO
ItalianGamerJoe for helping us with our first steps! His videos and advice about Construct-3 have guided us through the beginning of our journey.
For one of us it’s the first experience in developing games, for another — in 3D, so please, be kind… There are some bugs in the game that we can’t fix at the moment, but if you run into any bug or issue, let us know in the comments!
Known bugs and Issues:
- Sometimes the cursor has two animations at
the same time - The game ends with a menu screen (to start a new game, reload the page)
- If a video is playing, do not move your cursor away from the game window, or it may stop due to browser restrictions.
If you enjoyed the demo, please rate and review. Follow us to get news about the full game on X(ex.Twitter) and r/CleverClicks. And thanks for playing!

I'm really excited to check out the full game!
You look like the type of person who'd enjoy this jam: WOW JAM
They have a very interesting platform and are even offering prizes xD
Had no issues and this was amazing. I will definitely be looking out for the full release. I cannot get enough of these classic style games. Fresh stories and puzzle without the hours of trying to get a 20 year old game run on a modern system. Thank you for making this! I loved the little animations that add something to empty areas and seeing that you made all the models yourself is pretty awesome these days.
The game looks and feels fantastic, excited for the full version! There are some problems though
I couldn't use items in the inventory whenever there was an interactable object behind the inventory menu. Then I couldn't figure out how to move the thingamajig in the maze, left the puzzle screen, and upon reopening it the knob was GONE - got softlocked there. Also is the telescope interaction supposed to end in an infinite black screen?
Hey! Thanks for playing!
"I couldn't use items in the inventory whenever there was an interactable object behind the inventory menu." - Can you tell us where you faced it (location)?
"the knob was GONE" - Oops! Thanks, we'll fix it!
"an infinite black screen" - Oops![x2]
The inventory issue happened in the second room when facing the bookcase. Wasn't a problem for any of the puzzles but got me confused for a second
Wow, this was an amazing demo! Congratulations and can't wait for the full game!
Oh, hi! Thank you!
Good stuff! The atmosphere is fantastic; I like the direction the puzzles are headed. Looking forward to what comes next.
Thanks for the feedback!
SO COOL! The environment looks really great and it definitely feels like a game I could sit down with a nice cup of tea and enjoy. I'm looking forward to seeing progress!
Hello! Thank you, we really appreciate it.
I've gotten as far as getting a tile, but can't use it at the fireplace. The inventory screen is in the way of where the blank space is, and I can't move any of the other tiles. I've explored everywhere else in the room. Not sure if I can use the lavender water on anything. Haven't found a handle to the room on the left. Anyway, it's very early Nancy Drew in its vibes, and I've enjoyed what I've been able to play so far. Can't play it on the Itch app, though; just get a black screen after pressing Play on the menu screen, even after clearing my cache. Oh, and when you go to the tapestry to see the poem, you get at least half a second of black screen. Not sure if that's deliberate, but it was alarming the first time; I thought the game was about to crash. Anyway, looking forward to more, and I hope this releases on Steam!
Hi. Thank you so much for your feedback! We'll keep it in mind!
On the fireplace, you just need to press the correct combination of pictures on tiles (the missing tile confused everyone a little, sorry...).
We'll fix looong black loading screen (after pressing the NEW GAME button) in the next patch! I also think that we need to remove the black screen before tapestry — sometimes it is too long and it раздражают people.
Lavender water has no purpose :)
Thanks a lot for playing!
